PROFILE

Victoria Garza represents health-care providers in medical-malpractice defense and related litigation. Drawing on her clinical background, Victoria brings a unique perspective to the defense of physicians, facilities, and other health-care providers. 
 

Before beginning her legal career, she spent over six years as a registered nurse specializing in emergency medicine and labor and delivery. Her experience at a Level I trauma center in the Texas Medical Center provided her with a strong foundation in clinical care and a nuanced understanding of the complexities involved in treating critically ill patients.
 

Victoria earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston. During law school, she served as Articles & Notes Editor for CURRENTS: Journal of International Economic Law. She also worked at a health-care defense firm during law school and participated in a hospital legal internship.
